Emilie Duchêne and Emilie Pelegrin grew up surrounded by the world of fashion and luxury. The first became well known through her jewelry brand, the second worked in fashion as a model, TV presenter and in ready-to-wear clothing.
They both know the luxury market and its codes, adore jewelry and wanted to work together on a joint project.
It was one evening in July 2018 in the middle of the World Cup that they discussed an idea with a player agent friend, active in the football world, which then became the spark for a fairly concrete challenge…
… why not create a jewelry label incorporating all the traditional codes of jewelry but breaking away from its usual themes by focusing on football and its symbols.
The first ideas and sketches followed. Designs turned into prototypes, the concept took shape and the first pieces were well received.
Combining precious materials, restyling football shirts, whistles, shoes or footballs to create fine pieces of jewelry imbued with all the passion evoked by a sport, a favourite team or fetish player.
It just remained to find a name symbolising excellence with a certain elegance and an aristocatic touch.
And so the Edson label was born. Not many people know that this is the first name of the renowned Edson Arantes Do Nascimento, better known as Pelé, the football legend… What better name for a label aiming to offer the excellence of a fine jewelry line that celebrates the world of football?
